Monkey Room Information 2020/2021
Arrival/Dismissal School starts promptly at 8:50. This year Arrival/Dismissal will look different. Each Grade level will be assigned designated drop off & pick up areas. A map with directions will be sent out from Mr. Eisele. There are teachers and bus aides to assist in this process. If you have a change in your child’s dismissal procedure, please send in a note pinned to your child that day and/or call the Hilton Office. Please have your child wear his/her name-tag every day until we get used to their daily dismissal routine.
Backpack Your child will need to bring a bag or backpack to school every day to carry home papers/projects from school. Please check the contents of this backpack daily! I will give each child a Friday Folder to keep any papers that we may have completed in school, as well as any important notes that come from the office or myself. This folder will come home on FRIDAY and needs to be sent back to school every MONDAY.
Donations The school purchases our school supplies, but if you would like to donate anything to the classroom, we would put it to good use. Please check the tab on this website for Donation suggestions. Thank You in advance!
Masks Please practice with your child. Masks will be worn home and need to be washed daily. Extra masks will be provided for your child if needed.
Shoes Your child will also need to have sneakers or athletic shoes to wear on gym and music days. If your child does not know how to tie shoes, it would be helpful (but is not necessary) if he/she has Velcro shoes for gym and music.
Play Clothes Please dress your son/daughter in “play clothes.” We will get dirty! We will go outside daily as weather permits and will be painting, gluing, etc. Junior Kindergarten tends to be messy.
Extra Clothes Accidents happen; please supply an extra set of clothes, in a zip-lock bag. Clothes will be kept in your child's backpack. Thanks.
Snack Time Please check the class "Snack" tab on this website for more information. Healthy snack suggestions are available on my webpage. Please notify me of any food allergies.
Towel We will have “Quiet Time” daily. Please provide your child with a washable bath/beach towel to lie on during rest time. It will be stored in his/her locker and sent home on Friday to be washed.
Lunch Sack Your child will have the option of daily Hot Lunch or bringing his or her own Cold Lunch. If choosing Cold Lunch, please send your child to school with a disposable/labeled Lunch Sack. If choosing Hot Lunch, please send in a check with your child to BAS Cafe. The cafeteria staff will directly deposit this into your child's lunch account.
Remind Please see tab on this website for directions regarding Remind. This is a tool our class will be using. Please follow the specific directions so that you are connected to our classroom communications.
Seesaw Our classroom will be using Seesaw for our Wednesday Remote Learning. Your child will get an individual code. Please sign up for Seesaw to be prepared for Remote Learning.
Volunteer Information *At this time all volunteering is paused due to Covid Restrictions. District policy states that ALL volunteers must complete an online form to become part of our volunteer database. Please go to the Hilton Website to fill out the online form. It only takes a few minutes!
