Our class uses snack time as an important rhythm to build our classroom community. Every day one child will provide snack for the whole class (plan for 22 children). This valuable experience of providing for and sharing with your child’s classmates goes a long way in building a strong sense of belonging. Your child’s name will be on the class calendar that will come home at the beginning of each month. Please see the snack list and preparation hand-out below for suggestions. Of course, if your child has special dietary needs, we will make alternative arrangements. You can send the snack with your child, or if you need to, you may drop it off yourself.
Popcorn (Mondays): Send in individual baggies or a large bag.
Cheese and Crackers (Tuesdays): Crackers, any variety, & Cheese Sticks work great.
Vegetables and Dip (Wednesdays): Vege Dip of your choice.
Bagels & Spread (Thursdays): Mini Bagels work best w/Jam, Butter or Cream Cheese.
Fresh Fruit (Fridays): Bananas, Apples, Clementines, Strawberries; your choice.
Please send in utensils/supplies, if needed. Wash all fruit. Prepare for easy distribution of snack.
